About the d6

Roll a D6 dice with 6 sides. This is the normal cube dice with the dots, the one from almost every board game. We let you roll any number of them, like 2 D6s for Monopoly or 5 D6s for Yahtzee, and we keep the history of your rolls.

This is the dice from almost every box on the shelf — Monopoly, Yahtzee, Catan, backgammon, ludo. In D&D it is used for damage and for ability scores.

Questions about the d6

Why does 7 come up most often on two dice?

Because there is more combinations for it — 1+6, 2+5, 3+4 and the same backwards. That is six ways from 36, when 2 or 12 has only one.

Do opposite sides make 7?

Yes. On a normal dice 1 is against 6, 2 against 5, 3 against 4. Our 3D dice is made the same way.

How do I roll ability scores?

Write 4d6kh3 in the notation box, or press the ability score preset. It rolls four dice and keeps the best three. Repeat it six times.
